Requirements:

  • Minimum 4+ years experience in the feature movie and/or television industry.

  • Experience with rigid body and particle dynamics, volume modelling and rendering, procedural geometry generation and fluid dynamics
  • Proficient knowledge of FX techniques and workflows.
  • Understanding of Linux/Unix based operating systems.
  • Familiarity with one or more coding /scripting languages (Python/Mel/etc)
  • Good knowledge of NUKE and/or other compositing package.
  • Good communication, organizational, time management and interpersonal skills.

The Desktop Support Technician’s role is to support and maintain organizational computer systems, desktops, and peripherals. That includes installing, diagnosing, repairing, maintaining, and upgrading all organizational hardware and equipment while ensuring optimal workstation performance. The person will also troubleshoot problem areas (in person, by telephone, or via ticket system) in a timely and accurate manner and provide end-user assistance where required. Description:

  • Support development and implementation of new computer projects and new hardware installations.
  • Conduct research on, and make recommendations for, hardware products in support of procurement and development efforts.

Together with the Head of CG, the Head of CFX determines and works towards achieving the smoothest possible workflows and a proper communication with the other departments. Working closely with the CG Supervisors, VFX Supervisors and production team. The Head of CFX is responsible for achieving the correct shows’ output, artistically and technically by properly distributing the tasks and maintaining the highest quality standards.   Responsibilities:
  • Assuring the evolution of the CFX Department and generating a creative and stable CFX pipeline.
  • Together with the Head Of CG, planning and developing the studio-standard CFX workflow, tools and their use on shows as well as assessment and management of resources for CFX across all shows.

Under the supervision of the CG Supervisor, the Creature FX TD is responsible for providing a wide variety of dynamic simulations and rigs for photo-realistic creatures; including feathers, fur, hair, muscle and skin. Responsibilities:
  • Creation of fur, feathers for photo-realistic creatures.
  • Develop Maya simulation setups in combination with Yeti Feathers
  • Involvement in the development of departmental tools and techniques.
  • To be able to work with the visual effects supervisor, and the lead CG artist to determine the best creative approaches and techniques for all the different steps in a 3D production pipeline.
